Provo Gallery Stroll The first Friday of every month marks the open gallery stroll here in downtown Provo. This Month, the Sego Art Center will open Collective, an exhibition featuring the work of Adam Bateman and Pam Bowman. The exhibit will feature an adjoining critical essay by Jeff Lambson, curator of contemporary Art at the BYU Museum of Art. Also, The Annex (Sego's space connected to the main gallery) will feature Autumnau, an exhibition of paintings by Utah artist Roland Thompson.
The show will remain open to the public through September 27th and is viewable from 12-8pm Tuesday through Saturday, Mondays by appointment. Special appointments can be made by calling Jason Metcalf at 801.599.0680.

The Sego Art Center is located at
169 N University, Provo UT
The Sego Art Center serves as a home base to organize the annual Sego Music, Art and Film Festival and also serve as a multi-purpose arts facility featuring: monthly contemporary art exhibits from local and national talent, space for the Provo Film Society to screen films, studio space for artists, lecture hall and educational classrooms, as well as a courtyard sculpture garden.

SLC WEEKLY Just in case you aren’t getting your fill of art-related activities in the Salt Lake City area, there’s a new space just 30 minutes south that’s certainly worth the travel. The recently opened SEGO ART CENTER has a mission similar to that of other Utah art centers... it’s a nice hybrid of a smaller independent space and a nonprofit organization capable of bringing national and international artists in addition to locals. For Utah Valley especially, this marks a new and exciting development....
BYU NEWSNET'We're interested in bringing intellectually stimulating films to Provo to enhance the culture,' said Ryan Neely, member of the Sego Arts Foundation and local business owner. 'We're looking for art. We don't care if some arbitrary organization puts a rating on it.'
